Whitewater Canoe Rental

Whitewater River offers trips renting canoes, kayaks, rafts, tubes and campsites on the privately owned sections of the Whitewater River; Shuttle service available.

All Whitewater Canoe Rental bases have private riverside camping, picnic sites, grills, restrooms and hot showers.

Camping reservations are required at river sites, and arrivals after 8:00 p.m. must be prearranged. All camps are near Brookville Lake, Whitewater Lake, and Metamora Canal town.

Because of the “Repeal of 1843”, the Whitewater River in Franklin and Fayette counties is unique in that the river usage is controlled by private landowners who hold title deeds to the riverbed. The beaches, sandbars, islands and even the space above the riverbed are under control of each river landowner. It is imperative that anyone planning to float through this private property or fish this stream understand this fact and abide by all landowner regulations. Contact us for more information.
