Derby Day Bourbon, Wine & Beer Tasting and Pie Auction May 4
Grab a fancy Derby Hat and head on down to Third Place Brookville for their Kentucky Derby Party! The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. and include a full evening of food, drink, and fun. This event is being held in partnership with Margaret Mary Health Foundation.

Blithe Spirit Play at Metamora’s Opry Barn – May 3 & 4
Duck Creek Players present, “Blithe Spirit,” a comic play by Noël Coward, described by the author as “an improbable farce in three acts”. The play concerns the socialite and novelist Charles Condomine, who invites the eccentric medium and clairvoyant Madame Arcati to his house to conduct a séance, hoping to gather material for his next book. The scheme backfires when he is haunted by the ghost of his wilful and temperamental first wife, Elvira, after the séance. Elvira makes continual attempts to disrupt Charles’s marriage to his second wife, Ruth, who cannot see or hear the ghost. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking the link, or at the door day of show. Metamora Opry Barn is located at 19189 Pennington Road, Metamora. Concessions available for purchase.

Franklin County Quilt Show – May 17 & 18
Brookville Government Center. 12th annual quilt show featuring community quilts, bedturning and challenge category, vendors, food, demonstrations, door prizes, and fun!

Metamora Chainsaw Carving Invitational May 24-26
The historic village of Metamora is host to 12 chainsaw carvers during the annual Chainsaw Carving Invitational. Shops & restaurants will be open, as will the Grist Mill and other attractions. Come spend the holiday weekend in Metamora!

Mother/Daughter Retreat at Salt Creek Ranch May 31 – June 1
Join the folks at Salt Creek Ranch for a weekend of girl time to include horseback riding, overnight lodging in a rustic cabin, and campfires! Metamora Strawberry Days – June 1 & 2

Franklin County Rodeo & Family Fun – June 8
A day of family fun! A craft show, bouncy houses, live music and food trucks begin at 11 and continues until the rodeo starts at 7 p.m.

Columbia Street Music Festival – June 15
Columbia Street Music District in Metamora will host the first of three summer music festivals on Saturday, June 15. Headlining the June event is Rachel Holt Band, with music also on two side stages. The event will also have food & craft vendors. Coolers are welcome!
