Franklin County, Indiana

Old Tavern Antiques

Come check out antique treasures in Franklin County’s oldest building!  This New Trenton establishment, built in 1810, started out as The Manwaring Tavern. Early travelers in the developing territory stopped here for food and lodging.  Today the building is home to Old Tavern Antiques where shoppers can peruse a variety of affordable, true antiques in a tastefully decorated, nostalgic setting.

Our inventory includes:

  • Primitives
  • Metalware
  • Glass
  • Pottery
  • Textiles
  • Early Framed Art
  • Books and Ephemera
  • Toys

For those who prefer more recent wares our modern annex is filled with vintage to contemporary:

  • Decorative Items
  • Jewelry
  • Art and Art Materials
  • Clothing and Accessories
  • Housewares

If customers looking for specific genres call or email in advance I’m often able to scour my 50+ year collection and pull together several items for them to choose from.

Honest-to-goodness, independent country antique shops are scarce these days. This 210-year-old gem is a rarity not to be missed.  Come enjoy a trip back in time!
